Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was a fun story to read through. It was serious but light at the same time. Two sisters who didn’t know the other existed are thrown together when their father, who lived two separate lives with two separate families, was killed in a plane crash. We get to know each sister and walk alongside them as they process the event and the life they now have to learn to live without their father afterward, and eventually how they feel about the other, both before and after they meet. It felt realistic, and the characters were very vivid personalities to get to know.
